F# major 11th chord
F#maj11 chord for piano with keyboard diagram.
Explanation: The F sharp major eleventh is a six-note chord. For practical reasons the chord is normally played with omitted notes and/or inverted. It is often abbreviated as F#maj11 or F#maj9(#11). In the latter case, the chord is played with a raised eleventh to avoid dissonance with the 3rd.
Omissions: F#maj11(no5): F# - A# - F - G# - B.
Theory: The F# major eleventh chord is constructed by extending the major ninth chord with a major eleventh note.
